I’m looking for your suggestions! NaBloPoMo 2015

NaBloPoMo November 2015

November is the month when writers and bloggers lose their minds and decide that they should add insane writing contests on top of their already too-busy lives.

During the month of November, the writers participating in these contests are sleep deprived, weary eyed, sporadically showering, consuming too much coffee, and horribly anti-social (though that’s not entirely far from the norm).

It’s awesome.

Last year, I participated in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), a contest wherein you “win” if you write an entire novel in the span of 30 days. You can’t start writing any of the novel ahead of time, and you have to complete a minimum of 50,000 words (to qualify as a novel) by November 30th.

I ended up winning, but the first draft of the manuscript I penned that month will never see the light of day, I can assure you. It’s pretty horrible.

I thought that this year I’d take a more productive approach, so I’m participating in NaBloPoMo, (National Blog Posting Month). The challenge is to post something new on your blog every day for the entire month of November. BlogHer actually does this challenge every month of the year, but November is sort of the “official” month since that’s when it originally started.

This is where I need your help with NaBloPoMo…

Blogging every day for a month means I’m going to start to have panic attacks about running out of ideas. If you have any suggestions for things you’d like to see here on Mrs. Jones Could Use a Beer, please write them in the comments here on the blog, or on my Facebook page.

Since this blog is mainly about “quitting perfect”and “not keeping up with Mrs. Jones”, I’m looking for suggestions that relate to those themes.

I’m not entirely against trying something new (a lot of bloggers get creative with trying new things, experiments, etc.), but no promises :). My anxiety is high enough.

If you’re not able to think of any recommendations, I completely understand. If you would instead, then, just drop off some food at the house.

Thank you in advance!

  1. How ’bout an essay on the long term effects of blogging on one’s real world social life–with s pictorial commentary of attempts to integrate the two worlds into one? (I’d avoid ‘Blogging at the Movies’ as it is likely to end up with butter on the keyboard!)
